RURUTIA is a very secretive Japanese singer who uses her stunning voice to tell her tale. Her music is the perfect pop creation - addictive, soulful, and totally beautiful. The one way Rurutia actually reveals herself is through her music and videos, which are always gorgeous and magical. RURUTIA is a versatile artist, she composes and writes the songs she sings herself. Her singing, which is in total harmony with her music, sounds like a murmur. She seldom shows herself and wraps herself in a world that is both mysterious and enchanting. She directs very beautiful video clips and designs to perfection the sleeves of all her CDs.

Rurutia is an intensely private artist; most aspects of her life - such as her age and her real name - are not known to the public. This fact, added to her whispered vocals, creates a unique and mysterious atmosphere around her.

Her pseudonym, Rurutia, is derived from the Tahitian word rorotea meaning 'blissful rain'.

BIOGRAPHY
It was in October 2001 that RURUTIA signed with Toshiba-Emi who produced her first single, thus giving the start to her career. Released just two months later, her second single Lost Butterfly was a great success, like the 2002 album, entitled R°.

During 2002, RURUTIA carried on with several singles in which she showed her directing skills. For example, for the singles Yuruginai utsukushi mono and Suzaku no sora she conducted the directing of the videos herself. The next two records, including a second album, Water Forest, confirmed her talent.

Then she slowed down a bit, waiting until October 2003 before releasing a new single, Totoimerai. Making her fans wait once again, her third album Promised Land was released in June 2004; this album is one of her most accomplished works, showing so much diversity. In June 2005, she recorded a remix album Kazuo Umezu Kyofue Gekijo, which was later used for a movie original soundtrack, remixed by Taka Sato, with whom she had already worked.

Soon afterward RURUTIA decided to leave her record company so could account for what she wanted to do; she signed with the small label PHOERIX RECORDS who gave her the independence she desired. That being done, she started to publish interviews on her official site.

Since the release of Spinel in 2005, she added several records to her discography, including her fifth album Chorion, which has a beautiful cover depicting her as a fairy.

Opus has been available since June 2007. With a few remix and instrumental versions of older songs like Arabesque (transformed into a ballad), this mini-album only holds two new titles but the remix are of quality.

In 2008, she released her brand new mini-album Hyousa. She dad two new songs on that album namely Hyousa and Muyuuka.

In 2009 of February 25, she released another epically awesome album of 12 songs with 6 songs, brand new. The album is called Seirios.
