Warner Bros. Records Artist James Otto was definitely thinking "These Are The Good Ole Days" last night when he won an Academy Of Country Music Award in the Song Of The Year category as co-songwriter for Jamey Johnson's "In Color." Otto co-wrote the single with Johnson and Lee Thomas Miller. The award marks the first ACM award for Otto. After their ACM win, Otto went out with the fans to watch Johnson perform their award winning song, “In Color.”

Every year the William Morris Agency sponsors The BirdHouse Thing fundraiser where country music artists lend their artistic talent for a good cause. Plain, wooden birdhouses are handed out for decoration and are then auctioned off online through Opry Auctions.

With a L-O-T-T-O love and care, James has contributed his own birdhouse for the charity. The auction will run from March 14 through March 29 and more information is available here.

"Seventy percent of my fans are women," says Otto, who toured with country stars Trace Adkins and Alan Jackson this year. "But where women go, men follow, so I get a chance to win men over, too."

This week on Country Music Across America we hit the high seas as Santa gets set to take to the skies.

That's right, its cold in the Southern United States, so like the birds, Country Music Across America has headed further South for the winter. Host Storme Warren, joins multi-Grammy nominee James Otto and Country Music Star, Darryl Worley for a high seas adventure. And since we are way down South, we check into the Nassau Songwriters Festival to see how some of your favorite Country songs are inspired.

Back in US, while the world waits for Santa's arrival Charlie Daniels, Rodney Atkins, Tracy Lawrence, and John Michael Montgomery celebrate the true meaning of the season, giving.

Plus, we go home with Heidi Newfield and her husband, Bill Johnson, to find out how they juggle married life when they're both always on the road. And, Jamie O' Neal and her family show us how they decorate their home for the season.

All this and a whole lot more, this week on Country Music Across America.
