imeem, inc. is looking for an Oracle Database Administrator to join our team of technology and engineering professionals. In this position, you will plan, coordinate and perform functions related to Oracle databases administration including installations, troubleshooting, upgrades, and maintenance. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Key Responsiblities:

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, modify, upgrade, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases
• Perform capacity planning and performance tuning
• Perform backups and recovery using RMAN
• Migrate, clone or restore databases
• Participate in load testing
• Works closely with database engineers in designing database schemas
• Create and maintain technical and non-technical documentation including physical database descriptions, installation procedures, operating procedures, security policies, access guidelines and other written material

Successful candidates should have the following qualifications/requirements:

• Five or more years of proven and recent experience in Oracle database administration. Experience with Oracle 10g is a huge plus!
• Proficiency in designing high availability databases
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database management applications, SQL databases, UNIX operating system, PL/SQL programming language, and PERL and Shell scripting languages
• Oracle Certification preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
