Regional Sales Director - Chicago
Location: Chicago, IL
imeem, inc. is looking for an experienced entertainment sales leader with 6+ years of online sales/management experience. This position will be based in Chicago and candidate will have to work remotely for several months until they open the new office. This Regional Sales Director will be responsible for all Midwest territory advertising revenue and will have to manage/mentor the sales force.
Key Responsiblities:
- Drive and grow imeem’s advertising revenue in the assigned geography.
- Oversee and lead the direct sales channel of the Midwest
- Recruit, hire and manage sales team for territory
- Develop selling strategies and determine ways to grow awareness of the new brand.
- Determine short and long-range sales revenue plans, annual revenue budgets, and tactical action plans that will generate maximum advertiser revenues for the Company.
- Work with the VP Sales, West and other senior executives to identify and syndicate these plans.
- Drive the sales management process as well as play a hands-on role in driving sales, generating leads and opening doors for the sales organization across the country.
- Drive large, multi-year business relationships with potential Fortune 500 type clients. Build upon prior success in this area to continue to grow this opportunity.
- Expand and retain existing advertiser accounts and affiliate relationships. Development good relationships with key accounts, key client executives, and agency partners online.
- Create and implement sales programs and tools that increase performance by the sales staff. Reevaluate and determine performance levels.
- Provide a strong mentoring/coaching leadership to the direct reports, as well as the sales representatives in each region, elevating skill sets and developing bench strength in the organization.
Successful candidates should have the following qualifications/requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA considered ideal.
- Minimum of six years sales and sales management experience in a position of increasing responsibility with at least five years of online advertising sales experience in the internet media, portal, search, online advertising, or ISP industries.
- Experience managing a sales team, with the proven ability to create organizational structures, attract and retain talent, and to make, as necessary, critical staff decisions.
- Proven track record of closing large, complex deals directly with senior client executives.
- Exceptional management experience in developing and executing sales strategies, tactics, plans, processes, systems and programs.
- Proven ability to respond effectively to market direction, customer needs and major competitors’ positions.
