The imeem community is growing quickly, and with our increasing activity, our databases, hosts and caches create a lot of information about what they are doing. The Programmer/Analyst provides our eyes and ears into understanding this information, so that we can know where to go next. This engineering position is responsible for analysis of data to monitor site activity, health and performance.

This job requires someone who is highly analytical, and passionate about automation. The ideal candidate should know how to transform vague qualitative observations into concrete quantitative metrics that can be used and reused as benchmarks. These metrics may include understanding system activity, monitoring CPU health/traffic, timing code operations, and others.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop insights from data sources providing interpretation of data
• Use insights to anticipate problem areas and bottlenecks
• Automate result generation, package results to be understandable by others
• Determine where such data sources are missing and create them as needed

Successful candidates should have the following qualifications/requirements:

• Experience with Java or C# required, python/perl a plus
• Some experience with SQL required
• Experience in analysis and presentation of data
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
• Familiarity with data mining, map/reduce a plus
• BS/BA preferred
