imeem, inc. is currently looking for a Software Engineer. imeem is constantly adding so many new features, we need more people to help us implement them. If you are an enthusiastic imeem user, and a programmer, then this job is for you. The position includes implementing new backend features, refactoring existing code, and writing tools for use by engineering and other groups.

This job requires someone who is a problem solver, a fast learner, and a curious hacker. The ideal candidate should be able to take any software problem and either know how to solve it, know who to ask how to solve it, or know how to learn how to solve it. Since any problem may have multiple solutions, the candidate must be able to evaluate different approaches and decide on one plan of attack.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret product specifications into solvable programming problems
• Implement new features, fix bugs
• Write administrator-only pages as tools for other imeem employees
• Refactor constantly, optimize code when needed
• Add unit tests and system test where appropriate

Successful candidates should have the following qualifications/requirements:

• Experience with Java or C# required, python/perl a plus
• ASP/AJAX, Javascript a plus
• Familiarity with agile programming concepts and test-driven development a plus
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
• Some experience with SQL preferred
• BS/BA preferred
