Jon Deep aka Johnny Rosa Born and raised in Washington Heights NY from Dominican parents who migrated to the states in the early 60's. Jon's musical journey started when he was 8 years old his father came across hundreds of new and used records from a location he rented that used to be an old record store. The place had closed it's doors down and his father converted to a grocery store. Jon quickly took posession of the records and would beg his father to let him play them on the only record player in the house. He would play for hours and hours, Reggae, Funk, Rock, Disco,Salsa, Gospel, Jazz and Rythm & Blues. His parents quickly saw the passion he had for music and got him his own record player and the rest is History!
Thru out the years Jon worked hard to get what at the time was a very popular set up which was a set of Technics and one Realistic mixer from Radio Shack. Playing Hip Hop and Disco,Funk at local parties is where you would find Jon spinning. But it wasn't untill he got the opprotunity to hit the club scence that he was exposed to this unique sound not heard on radio stations at that time.
He quickly fell in love with the soulful chants,hard pounding 4 on the floor, funky basslines and extended mixes.
Jon has played at local venues in The Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Boston in the early 90's, Miami, As well as mainstream radio in the Dominican Republic. After 10 years of taking time to be with his Family Jon has Re-enter the world of House with the full force energy and talent that will definitly leave an impact on all of us!!
