Josh Shear is a writer and musician based in Syracuse, NY. Musically, he grew up in the Northampton, Mass., scene, which has sprouted such artists as Dinosaur Jr., the Winterpills, The Nields and many more.

His music has been compared to that of everyone from Willie Nile to Bill Morrissey, and he has shared the stage with the likes of Charles Neville, the Winterpills' Philip Price, Flora Reed and Dennis Crommet, Atlanta's Matthew Kahler, and more.

In recent years, Josh has been writing poetry and has been included in several of Turtle Ink Press's collections.

He is currently working on musical, photography and non-fiction projects.
