So much music, so little time..........I love all kinds of music - pop, rock, classical, Hawaiian, Irish, J-pop, etc. but I started out mainly using this site to help bring Japanese music and culture to my students. Now I'm just addicted...

Japanese: right now I really like Utada Hikaru, Funky Monkey Babys, Monkey Majik,Nakajima Miyuki, Tokio, Kuwata Keisuke, Makihara Noriyuki , Yoshida Kyoudai, Hirahara Ayaka, kobukuro, and many others! Hawaiian: Group-of-the-year Kaukahi, Walt Keale, Na Palapalai, female-vocalist-of-the-year Natalie K, Sistah Robi, Nathan Aweau, Keali'i Reichel, and the list goes on and on Other: Beatles, Bette Midler, Enya, Dixie Chicks, kd Lang, Indigo Girls, all those pop girl soloists that sound kinda alike (Avaril, Michelle, etc) Nora Jones, etc etc.

I love movies too. Some of My favorite Japanese movies are: Tampopo, Life: Tengoku de Kimi ni Aetara, Shall We Dance, Black Rain (NOT the American one), Tokyo Godfathers, and any Miyazaki film or Kurosawa Film. Also Train Man (densha otoko) and Hula Girls (since I'm from Hawaii), Kamikaze Girls, Linda Linda Linda and Kamome shokudo. As for American Movies, I love To Kill a Mockingbird, Dances With Wolves, Field of Dreams, Joy Luck Club, Snow Faling on Cedars, and all "LORD of the HARRY PIRATES"

Japanese: I like, My Boss My Hero, Hana Yori Dango, Nodame Cantabile, Orange Days, Kinpachi Sensei, Densha Otoko, Abarenbo Mama, and Galileo As for American shows: Joan of Arcadia and Firefly (may they rest in peace) I also love Heroes, Friday Night Lights, Lost, and Clash of the Choirs. Irish tv: Ros na Run!

Japanese: I don't know many by name, but I like Yakusho Koji and the actor in Life: Tengoku de Kimi ni Aetara. I've also become a big fan of Matsumoto Jun and Inoue Mao. I also like the guy from My Boss My Hero (and Tokio) American: Johnny Depp (since way before Pirates!) Tom Hanks, Richard Gere, Amber Tamblin and (I can't help it) Brad and Angelina
