For some, such a combination may be mind boggling, but for K.I.D aka The Mayor, it is a description of the parts that make up himself. Yet, another prominent star emerges from the newest rap region on the come up. Hailing from Houston,Texas, the dark and mysterious 26 year old K.I.D stands at slim 6, 2 with an uncanny similarity to Tupac (pre Death Row era). Raw, spontaneous, and uninhibited, K.I.D is spirited with the enthusiasm and drive of a rebellious, starting quarterback, ready to change all the plays to ensure a win in this rap game.Similar to the passionate character D Jay in Hustle & Flow, K.I.D has the cadence of a frustrated star on the rise.
Regarding the recent explosion of Houstons new rappers, K.I.D
represents an attitude of competition as opposed to camaraderie.
Although charming, there are many visibile attributes of the loose
canon personality.
You know, you got a couple bitch ass niggaz that got a lil bit of money and acting like they was something. I been had money. I been a nigga out in these streets gettin that paper. No insult to anybody, but a lot of these niggaz aint never been in the streets. A bunch of these niggaz thats out right now reppin H-Town, I cant really say I seen on them street corners. I was out there! Even getting whoopins for being on that motherfucker since the 80s! I was out there getting shot at, sellin that dope and all that shit these niggaz is braggin about in their rhymes. I served time for these crimes. These niggaz are speaking from the perspective of a passer-by. What youre hearing right now is the voice of the people that pull up to the block. Youre about to hear the voice of the nigga standing on the block! exclaims K.I.D.
