~Follow your Dreams~

What does it mean to 'Follow Your Dreams'
Is it wishing thinking to self pacify ones hopes
Do some actually follow it as life's lesson's that
we should set anchor to or allow the notion to sail
afloat

Is there any authenticity to it's meaning or a mere
passed down through century perpetrated quote?
I listened to my heart and though initially head
went it's opposing way. I'm happy to say..I reaped well
despite my sometimes skeptical procrastinated ways

Chased a notion and wished upon a star
Both ...hmmm I really can't say where they led
me. Depending on the scenario..sometimes contemplated
and that didn't carry me very far.

There were (more than often) nightmares
now and then..and in between. Life will forever be our ..well MY BEST mentor
in which I've been able to reap benefits by following through & continuing to do my best
in wholeheartedly following each of ONE my Dreams
