About

Description
Welcome to the Massive Selector Network. Feel free to post post your favorite photos, videos, or blogs from Massive Selector events and beyond here.

MASSIVE SELECTOR is a San Francisco based collective of artists, djs, free thinkers, and corporate refugees who share a passion for art and music culture. Through our event production, media projects, and design we motivate, build and cultivate a left coast community. We are selectors for the masses.

MASSIVE SELECTOR produces events, live shows, and benefits, as well as provide strategic marketing and promotion services online and on the street. The versatility of the company allows it to do web development, marketing programs, graphic design, and talent sourcing (DJs and acts) internally for all projects, services which are also offered to external clients. Recent projects include production of the California leg of an album release tour for King Britt (K7 Records), Wonder-Full: A Tribute to the Wonder of Stevie with DJ Spinna & Bobbito, a concert show featuring BBC Worlwide Live with Gilles Peterson, Dwele, and The Rebirth, Soled Out: A Commemoration to Sneaker Culture, Sneakerpimps: The Worlds Largest Sneaker Tour, SF Intl Asian Am Film Festival's Directions in Sound, J-Dilla Tribute featuring Stones Throw All-Stars Peanut Butter Wolf, Egon + Madlib, DJ Spinna vs. ?uestlove, among other great events.

Our projects: some for fun, some for profit... all for the love. The most visible are the events... but the MS crew is involved in a lot of different things... art, music, fashion, web design, architecture, engineering and even entrepreneurship. Over the years we've made our mark in the nitelife arena, but this year we ventured off into new frontiers. Our latest endeavor is POLENG LOUNGE, a tea lounge, restaurant, and bar located in the heart of San Francisco's upper panhandle or NOPA district. In just 7 short months POLENG LOUNGE has become the face of modern filipino cusine and is now officaily one of the top 10 restaraunts in the Bay according to the chronicle.

Hit us up if you want to party, create, motivate, organize, or build... whats life without a hustle?

ABOUT DJ NEIL ARMSTRONG
A battle turntablist for the last decade or so, DJ Neil Armstrong found his niche making mixtapes featuring ’80s synth pop, rock, underground hip-hop and other treasures from the crate. He dubbed it his (All Out King) Series, a reference to a line from the pivotal graffiti movie “Style Wars“: “You gotta do everything: If you specialize in just one thing, you can’t call yourself an all-out-king!” Armstrong is the official DJ for the Mary J. Blige and Jay-Z Heart of the City Tour, a major coup, to be sure. So how did he get there? Story goes that one of Armstrong’s tapes fell into the hands of a Roc-A-Fella Records employee and it went up the chain to Jigga man himself, who used it as inspiration to formulate the highs and lows of his classic “Black Album.

Green Tea "Sunshowers (Green Tea Remix)" Green Tea turns this mellow favorite into a bonifide dancefloor burner! complete with extended breaks for the dancers, and those sweet vocals lay perfectly over this uptempo track... this joint is gonna be heating dancefloors all summer long!

4 Yosaku "Ain't It Funky" the ubiquitous Yosaku takes on the difficult task of remixing one of James Brown's biggest hits, and delivers! this dudes ability to update a hard funk anthem into a now-sound heater is pretty mind blowing... this joint is gonna be featured on GAMM's upcoming "Doin James" James Brown tribute compilation. Ain't It Funky never sounded so FONKY.

5.

Jackson Conti "Sao Paulo Nights" did you know madlib loves brazil? so much so that he linked up with the drummer Mamao of legendary brazilian outfit Azymuth to form Jackson Conti. check out this beautiful track off their latest album Sujinho...

Chez Damier "In & Out (Daz-I-Kue Remix)" lovin Daz's future boogie version of this crowd pleaser... can somebody say 80's throwback?

9.

Karizma aka Kaytronic "33rd Street Anthem" techy new joint from Karizma that just smacks you in the face like he was your daddy... you know you like it.

@ pink, sf

We're going for a full on dance floor filler DJ battle this Friday, up against our homies from Plug Label King Most & Kero One. Throwing down the illest Hip Hop, Disco, Soul, Broken Beat, Afro-Beat, Brazilian & House for your dancing pleasure.

know the ledge...

ABOUT KING MOST & KERO-ONE (PLUG LABEL)
Plug Labels' King Most & Kero 1 have been keeping real Hip Hop alive and well in the Bay Area. Their sound connects sample heavy early Hip Hop, soul music, and electronic styles with the freshest sounds from today.

Their steez aint about impressing people with stunna shades and neon jackets, however it's about proving not only that they're talented artists but can also rock any crowd with their command of the arts - whether rocking live in Paris and Tokyo, or DJing at Pink this Friday. Kero recently got honored as top 100 artists to keep an eye out for in URB, and is fresh off a string of sold out shows in Japan, Korea, Spain & France!!! King Most's Genius Music (the music of Kanye, Timbaland & the Neptunes) is one of the dopest mix CDs we've heard in a long time while being one of biggest selling Mix CDs right now.
Recieving praise from Okayplayer. com, Vapors, Turntable Lab, URB and tons of other taste makers worldwide. Expect to hear a lot from our boys as they both are gearing up to release new albums...
