I learned this piece on piano. I forgot some parts of it. But then, i really loved it...until now! Such a beautiful classic!!

I looked this up to listen to because I'm reading A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. There is a little band that travels through the streets of Williamsburg, playing for money. I'm a little bit caught off guard, because The Blue Danube is like almost a universal waltz music, and even I spontaneously hum it sometimes. I never knew it was called The Blue Danube. How lovely Betty Smith made it sound, despite describing the band in the story as, "sad as well as bad." This version is very pretty.
