As a Latin Dj raised in the streets of New York City during the early years of HIP HOP. I have watched HIP HOP from its early beginnings when everyone dismissed it as fad, a inner city youth thing , go through many changes. I knew this was never going to end, not any time soon,Not if we can help it. The true elements of Hip Hop has faded . Hip Hop has now morphs into a multi billion dollar global industry. Many now claim HIP HOP is dead. I agree it is dead... as we once knew it. What we have now is " RAP ". I still have faith that someday HIP HOP will come full circle and return to its original roots Deejaying, Emceeing, Breaking and Graffiti art and everyone can truly enjoy the way Hip Hop was to us the " Old School " heads.
