About

Description
Update: It's official!!! On July 16, 2008, the one and only DJ MM will be back on here to upload, communicate with all of you, and make all my haters look like they just ate their own shit. Why have I been gone so damn long? The constant layout changes, trying to take my career further (which I have been way too successful at), my piece of shit computer saying the whole C drive disappeared (don't you just hate Bill Gates?), relationships, sports...goddamn, that's just the beginning. But I'm back and hopefully for good so that I can keep my ass relevant around here.

Since this site won't let musicians put basic info (they still need to fix that), I'll put my info here.

I'm male, brown skin, brown hair, brown eyes, 160 pounds, mainly muscle with a 6-pack. I haven't put a pic up yet cause my camera won't connect to my computer.

While I do not have much access to any Internet at all anymore, that did not stop me from getting a Twitter page (www.twitter.com/dj_double_m). On it, I hope to post updates (as much as possible) of what I'm doing (of course, that's the point of Twitter xD), but also, I'll update you guys on music and videos that I think everyone else should check out, stories, breaking news, photos, and maybe even a rap or two that I come up with at the spur of the moment. Anyways, check it out and tell me what you guys think of it =D.

*Songs played while posting: Usher Feat. Jay-Z - Best Thing, Nelly - Country Grammar, Kanye West Feat. Jamie Foxx - Gold Digger, W.A.L.E. - Get It, Daughtry - Feels Like Tonight, Lloyd Feat. Lil Wayne - Girls Around The World*

Now, it's time for the 10 reasons why I came back:

1. My Imeem friends...I just couldn't leave them behind like I did and I felt bad, so I just had to come back. Shoutouts go to M.B. aka My Brotha aka My Musical Sidekick (after all this time, both of us are still on here...hard to believe sometimes), Jnuelz aka My Sista aka Imeem's Ninja Gaiden 2 Addict (stop playing that game and come back on here sis...PLEASE), Sean aka Slimm Jimm (happy b'day today man), Britt bka DJ Diamond Cut aka Imeem's Almighty Supplier of Lil Wayne Music (we need to keep a conversation going for a longer time though lol...most we've talked at a time was half an hour), Shay aka Shay-Bay-Bay (where the hell are you girl?), Stephen aka The Go-Go Guy (thanks for exposing me to that kind of music, makes me feel better when I'm down), MJ aka Imeem's Future College Graduate (Colbie Caillet FTW xD), Rachel aka That Girl Who Teases Me Too Damn Much (stop messing with me lol), Bree aka My Secret Admirer (It ain't hard to tell that you still like me), Chey aka Dat Fly Chick (where you at? hit me up again)...if I forgot to put you on here, PLEASE let me know or else I will probably never know otherwise lol.

2. On this computer, it just takes too much time and effort to upload videos, so I abandoned Youtube for now.

3. There's not nearly as many 30-second songs now as there were before.

4. I didn't want the unchecked friend requests to get into the thousands, so I wanted to take care of that.

5. I need to get away from ESPN somehow xD.

6. My iPod hates me sometimes, so this is my alternative.

7. I've gotten the feeling that I need to make more polls on here like it's necessary xD.

8. My group probably hasn't been touched for 2-3 months now and I need to make it relevant again.

9. I NEED to upload some shit.

10. ...I just felt like taking this to 10 instead of some odd number like 9...who makes a top 9 list anyways?

*Songs played while posting: Lil Wayne - A Milli, Jason Mraz - I'm Yours, InnerPartySystem - Don't Stop, Maroon 5 - Won't Go Home Without You, The Game - The Taped Conversation (G-Unit Diss), Ne-Yo - Go On Girl, Justin Timberlake Feat. Timbaland - Cry Me A River, LL Cool J Feat. The-Dream - Baby (so many damn love songs...it's like the iPod knew I was gonna talk about relationships)*

As about half of you know (the other half haven't been on here either lol), I left this site abruptly at around January or February of this year. Why did this happen? Here are my 10 main reasons:

1. Imeem decided to clump together similar tracks together so other versions from different people wouldn't stand out. This pissed me off because not only did I end up not getting many plays on my tracks because of that, but also remixes that I really liked ended up getting clumped with regular versions or tracks that weren't alike at all ended up getting clumped together (Linkin Park - In The End and Mary J. Blige - Be Without You DO NOT MATCH). That is why...

2. I went on Youtube to upload instead. All the videos and songs are separated and different videos stand out for different reasons and with different tags. However, I ended up getting 7 different accounts deleted and I just got sick and tired of starting over.

3. Just as that happened, my computer's C drive decided to commit suicide and leave me hanging. I ended up finding this piece of shit computer (it's a Windows 98 computer running on XP and with 3MB of memory...nuff said) and I got used to dealing with its 15-minute load times, its shitty Flash handling, and crappy video quality just so I could get back on here.

4. Imeem's constant changes turned me off.

5. The 30-second bullshit was too much back then.

6. I spent too much time looking for the music and putting it on my iPod and never gave myself enough time to actually put the songs on here.

7. While I was on here, a lot of the stuff wouldn't upload for me to begin with, so I gave up hope for a while there.

8. Between when I left and now, I've been in 4 relationships. The first one said I was always trying to be too funny (lasted 5 days...fuck her), the second one said I was way into music (lasted 7 hours...I wanted to hit her for even thinking that...if you're gonna be with me, you're gonna have to deal with my music addiction), the third one had problems dealing with an ex (lasted 1 month...I'm still into her, but I feel what she's going through), and the most recent one is still intact (2 1/2 months...and our relationship is only getting stronger and more intense as we go along). I'd go on and talk about what we've done for each other, but I don't wanna bore you guys with cliches, so I'll just say that I wanna marry her...ON TOP OF A MOUNTAIN (I love Anchorman xD).

9. My DJing/producing career has only been growing over time and I fear that it will take me away from this site for good, but if it does, I know that I will have fun and get rich doing it, and I will also meet many more artists, popular and up-and-coming.

10. ESPN has been making me a couch potato over the summer xD. Scripted shows need to start coming back on before I become a sports freak.

Part 2 (the 10 reasons why I came back) is coming very shortly.

Alright, I know I haven't been up on my blog game much, but I'm gonna step it up starting tonight with an news update on the latest music for this week.

Wyclef Jean - The Carnival II: Memoirs of an Immigrant leaking:
Yup, the new album that's supposed to be out next Tuesday from the former Fugees member came a bit early and it doesn't disappoint. Unlike the new Wu album (talking about that later), it doesn't sound like he went for the mainstream or fell off. It is a well-constructed and thought out album & has some unexpected guest spots coming from the likes of SOAD lead singer Serj Tankian, among others. Don't miss out on this one. 4.5/5

Wu Tang Clan - 8 Diagrams leaking:
Another upcoming & long-awaited album leaked as well. The new Wu Tang album is (unfortunately) really only meant for longtime die-hard Wu fans...because the lyrical content is mainly "heard that before" material and didn't cut it for me. They're planning another album next year without The RZA...but I'm not sure if that's gonna be enough because Ghostface is the only member that really gets to me anymore. 2.25/5

DJ Drama - Gangsta Grillz: The Album leaking:
Before you guys say anything, this is not a DJ Khaled-knockoff compilation album. It doesn't have the same 7 people rapping over different beats or as much psychotic screaming over the tracks. This is a more complete-feeling, more varied and less annoying version of "We The Best". I applaud Drama for not going the way of Khaled for the album format. 4/5

Dead Presidents 3 (Full version) leaking:
I was fooled for this shit...it's only full cause of 25 more seconds of filler at the end...what a crock of shit. Big Mike's frontin on us...where's the real full version?!?!? 2/5

The new Birdman video:
This shit made me laugh my fucking ass off...I know it was meant to be a dead serious video...but with DJ Khaled yelling his usual adlib shit in the back of a Maybach in the middle of the jungle, 100 million dollars of money coming out of an exploding truck...unburnt, among other dumbass moments, the 2 million dollar budget set on this Bad Boys 3 trailer-wannabe video was wasted on...a very flawed and unintentionally funny video. Song's nice though. 2.25/5

Man, as much as I wanna keep blogging about this, I can't think of anything else to put in here...until next time I guess lol.

From Highbrid Nation (http://highbridnation.highbrid.com/?p=3695):

Critics are raving about West’s Graduation - and its already sold 200,000 more units than Fiddy’s Curtis since yesterday’s same-day release in the US. Fifty appeared on New York’s Hot 97 “Miss Jones in the Morning Show” and suggested that Kanye’s Label Roc-a-fella/Def Jam actually purchased 200,000 copies of the album in an attempt to make Kanye look like the winner.

I could definitely believe the Def Jam thing. They are notorious for that move thats why all there artists always have a huge first week and then following weeks sales sharply decline. I have both albums I’ve listened to all of Curtis and about half off Graduation. I’ll say this Kanye is supposed to outsell 50. Kanye appeals to a larger audience, he’s non threatening, and he’s a closet queen this description fits more than half the worlds population. As far as the albums are concerned Fifty has a solid album but you really feel like theres nothing particularly new, he has a method for making songs and he doesn’t mess with that formula at all. “AYO Technology” is a little stretch for him but thats about it. The individual songs themselves are hot but again it feels like something you’ve heard from fiddy already. Kanye’s album or what I’ve heard so far is a very well produced album but the tempo and energy of the album is way to laid back and slow for me. In addition to that his rhyme style is very juvenile and basic abc 123 raps I call them, and I heard this guy uses ghostwriters. (Dogs you actually pay people to write those raps for you thats crazy holla at my dogs Dos Un he’ll pen some proper rhymes for you) Just off of tempo and my personal preference I have to run with Fiddy but Kanye will definitely sell more units, especially if def jam keeps buying them, but he’s supposed to. 50 is the bad guy the bully, the one everyone loves to hate.
