Most of the lectures here are now for sale on CD at my eBay site http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Islamic-Lectures for $5. Many people are unable to use the MP3s but still want to hear them. Insha Allah this will help them out.

I'm working now to try and get the top 15 played files on iTunes and other download sites, insha Allah.

I reloaded Shadeed Muhammad's class from Masjid Ar-Rashid (05-19-09) today as it had another unassociated sound file attached to the end. Please pardon me if you heard this, it wasn't part of the brother's class & it was an inadvertent oversight on my part. We were testing a new recording software on the iPhone and didn't realize it started recording at the end of the last recording.

Insha Allah I will be selling physical CDs of all these recordings soon on Amazon and eBay. I've had many people ask me for the CDs because they are unable to download or play the MP3 format or do not want to deal with iMeem. Additionally, I was under the impression that one could simply download the MP3s from this site but now I know that one cannot. So insha Allah I plan to make the MP3 recordings available on iTunes and other MP3 download sites as well as Rhapsody and the like.

I'm greatful to Allah that I was able to add three new lectures today. The Masjid Ar-Rashid conference wen very well. I was unable to attend 2 of the 3 days due to illness, so another brother recorded it. Insha Allah I'll get the recordings from him soon and upload the ones that I can. The imam decided not to sell them after all as he felt they would be a greater benefit to our dawah effort if they were free, Al hamdul illah.

The Compton Masjid (Ar-Rashid) will be hosting a conference this weekend March 6th - 8th featuring lectures by Abu-Khalyil Jadd Sylvester-Translator and possessor of an Ijazza from Shaykh Safi ur-Rahman (rahimahullah) to teach the six books of Hadith and Abu Majahid Fareed Abdallah-Graduate of Imaam Ibn Saud University, Riyad & Imaam and Kateeb of Masjid Al-Mumin (Los Angeles).

Friday's classes are 6:15 PM to 8:45 PM. Saturday and Sunday's classes are after each salat. There will also be food, Insha Allah.

If you are in the area feel free to attend. Masjid Ar-Rashid is located at 2226 E Compton Blvd Compton CA 90221.

We may have recordings of the conference for sale (Insha Allah) afterwards.

On another note, Insha Allah we will be doing some recordings of Qur'an recitation in the near future as I have access to a studio. If anyone is interested in recording recitations, lectures, converting formats of existing recordings, cleaning up recordings, etc., get at me as we are able to do all of these things. Al hamdul illah. I'm grateful that this collection of recordings has been beneficial to some. Insha Allah, it will continue to be so and I will be able to add more.

I've tried my best to clean up the recordings that were difficult to understand, were noisy, or had other problems as Allah has blessed me with some knowledge and tools of sound recording, mixing, editing and the like. If anyone has difficulty with a recording please let me know and I'll try and fix it.

This site is in conjunction with the joint dawah efforts of Masjids Ar-Rashid (Compton CA) and Al Mumin (Los Angeles CA). Al hamdul illah, many of the brothers at these masjids gave their recordings and time to assist in this effort.

We also make CDs, mainly of Dawud Adeeb's Islam Clarified, to pass out to the people of the community in an effort to give them dawah.
