Black Star is amazing. This is the first hiphop album I've come across that has me re-assessing my views and even myself. Cant believe its hip-hop. Mos def and Talib are such great poets! Im happy I've finally found the REAL in hiphop. Only if mainstream and AMERICA would come to the same complex. Love this album from the heart.

I'm only 16 and with all this nonsense playing I thank God I found Black Star. This is real hip-hop and instead of the game needing to change it needs to get back to REAL music like this

This is the first conscious hip-hop album I've ever owned-this made me back track & see what else I was missin' as far as the real hip-hop. It changed the way that I viewed the genre and it's still gettin' spins 2 this day
