Reflections on why we should offer Thanksgiving to God
from: www.kktk.kaanib.net
For every generation, there are different types of songs created – inspired by the things that touch a composer’s heart. Men have created songs for parents, for family, for friends, for loved ones, for special occasions and even for animals! However, most of them forgot the One who gave them such gift, to whom we owe our lives and abilities. Many have forgotten to offer songs to our Creator…
We are blessed inside the Church because we are aware of the things which many wouldn’t even think of.
We are unlike many youngsters today who have no idea about what the true future holds. So many young people today consume their energy and strength in parties, gimmicks, concerts, entertainment and pleasure, thinking that it is all there is in life.
As witnesses to the graces of God, we know to whom we should raise our voices and offer the fruit of our lips.
There are more than one thousand and one reasons to be thankful to God. Amidst all the chaos and cases of juvenile delinquencies in our society, we should be thankful that we are free from such. Even at our early ages, we learned the true meaning of life, and how to make it worth living for.
We should be thankful not only for the life He gave us, but also for letting us know Him. Because of His loving kindness, we have been taken away from worldly activities and indulgences and brought to a place where we are given a chance to attain eternal life. Apart from these, there are more things we are not even aware of; which leads us to the conclusion that we have all the reason in the world to thank God.
We should leave behind the way of the world which chooses to offer songs to everyone and everything but the Creator. We must never forget the One to whom we owe everything, most especially our salvation; because to fear God and to keep His commandments is the whole duty of man.

What’s important to a Christian Youth?
From: www.kktk.kaanib.net
The way of the world has a very sweet offer to people and very conventional imposition to people about how life should be lived.
Getting a college degree and having one’s own family seem to be the path to be walked, and when you get these two would complete it all in man’s life as if you’ve finished your journey. You are luckier if aside from these things, you are an achiever, a successful professional and could still juggle busy life with leisure. All roads in the world seem to lead to having a family, growing old, enjoying retirement pay and so on. In most cases, people cling to the cycle, not wanting to get out and just go with the flow of the world.
But Christians are of a different kind. We perceive future differently because we have the hint of what the real future holds. Christian youth are mindful of the future because we are properly guided by the Scriptures, helping us make the right choices. We don’t just go on with the trend. We know there’s more to life than racing for time to earn a satisfying and fulfilling life to live in this world.
We may not be able to experience what busies and preoccupies other young people’s lives such as going out, hanging out and getting thrills.
Fortunately for us, we know what true happiness means and where true happiness lies. We are fully aware that there’s something we should always consider first, which more than half of the world seem to forget—that, despite all the seemingly important things around us, one stands above all – God.
Our priorities second only to God and the Church are our family, friends, relatives, career and our self.
