Olly Oxen Free - It means so many different things. I don't know which answer to choose. It is an identifying label for this particular collection of 10songs. What a bullshit answer. Most other answers I can give will either make me sound like a big hippie or a big downer, and I would like to think I am neither of these big things!

Fog - I wrote this song while fantasizing about being a different singer than I actually am, someone whose soul is bared in their voice, and whose cracks and creaks and weaknesses give it heart. Like in songs from way before I was born. The sense of longing made its way into the subject matter - your own mind running out on you, and how difficult it is to find it again when you're operating with no rhyme or reason.

Point A to Point B - This song is a mission statement about trying to de-evolve into a rock, or at least a creature that can't think, by intentionally losing karma points. The best way to do this is by being as bad a person as you can muster every time you're reincarnated.

Lock and Key - A story song about escaping imprisonment by figuring out how to leave your body behind. It might be about catching fireflies though. There's a defiant streak that runs through it, spitting in the face of your captors.

Only a Moment - Inspired by the times in life when we get into some evil stuff, that our morals should prevent, and the circular self-justification that lets us defeat those morals to take those steps anyway. Once you start certain balls rolling, they keep rolling.

Out Dragging the River - I started writing about people spending all their time searching for something, without having any clue what they were searching for. Just as I got to writing the chorus, I got a phone call from someone and we got into the latest of a series of fights. And because a moment before I had been really enjoying myself writing lyrics, I immediately ended the conversation, and the song spun off in the direction of being unwilling to butt heads anymore. The two concepts ended up marrying pretty well.
