I started DJ'ing off and on when I was 14. At that time Hip Hop was at it's prime and I figured that was the route I'd take so I started learning the basic break beat mixing and flipping. I learned how to be a true "turntablist" through DJ Daddy Riff of Detroit's 12-Tech Mobb when I was 21 but I lost the love for music because the direction it was flowing into. After being bugged by a dear friend of mine to pick up a 4Hero cd and I immediately fell in love with their sound. I stared doing searches on the Internet for artists similar to their style and before I knew it I had a huge shopping cart full of music from The Rurals to Blue Six. After playing around with a few personal house mixes and sharing with a few friends I started preparing house mixes once a month via podcasts and selling various mix cds. I started a live radio show on Digital Djs/Warrior FM and my podcast grew rapidly. In 2007 I took a hiatus due to several life changing events and this gave me time to rethink how to approach DJ'ing, marketing and producing a show. Stay tuned for more Deep Soul Sessions...
