In this client release, we've updated the design of our photo uploader to make it much easier for users to perform the following tasks:

- Ability to drag & drop photos for simplified photo uploading.
- Easier album creation and selection of photos for upload to user profile and/or groups.
- Enhanced photo management allowing users to organize their photos by moving photos to the desired order prior to upload.

Fresh New Look
We've updated the design to make it easier for you to access our most popular features.
* The Upload button allows for easy access to upload video, music, photos, and posting to blogs.
* The imeem button allows for easy access to edit your profile, add new IM friends, manage your media, and start new chats.

New Search Functionality
* The Search imeem field lets you quickly search for new media, content, and people on imeem.
* Limit/Filter your search to Photos, Photo Albums, Music, Videos, Blogs, Meems, People, and Playlists.
* Keep track of your most recent searches.

Now Playing...
* Let your friends know what you're watching or listening to on imeem! Just set your online status to "Now Playing" and start rockin’ out to your favorite song/video (this also works with iTunes and Winamp).

* There's a ton of great stuff on imeem, so if you don't know where to start, check out some of our suggestions in the Featured on imeem tab. Once you're ready to go explore on your own, you can choose to hide this section.

E-Mail Notifications
* Get new e-mail notifications for your Gmail, Yahoo!, and AIM accounts.  

Auto Join Meem Chats
* Automatically join chats for your favorite meems right when you log on.

The holidays are quickly approaching, and we've been working hard on the latest version of imeem for windows. All the feedback that everyone has been providing has been very helpful. Here's some of the new stuff you can check out!

New Photo Uploader
Our new and improved Photo Uploader allows you to...
* Upload entire folders of photos (Just click on the "Add entire folder" button)
* See thumbnail previews of the photos you are about to upload
* Drag & Drop photos into the Photo Uploader

New Video Uploader
With the new Video Uploader, you can...
* Upload videos to your profile or a meem directly from the program
* Upload multiple videos at once
* Drag & Drop videos into the Video Uploader

Buddy List Organization
We've introduced some additional sorting options for your buddy list. You can now sort your list:
* Alphabetically
* Reverse Alphabetically
* By Status
* By IM Service
In addition, you can "hide" your groups so all your buddies will appear in one single list.

E-Mail Notifications
You can now receive notifications for your Yahoo! and AOL/AIM e-mail accounts.

* "Friends-Only" albums can now be viewed on the website (don't worry though, they will still only be visible to your friends).
* New system notifications have been added for video and music updates in your network.

We've got some great new features in the latest Windows release!

Tabbed Chat
* Tired of losing track of your conversations because you have two many windows open? We've now added tabbed chat functionality so that you can easily combine all your conversations into one single chat window. Don't worry though; if you like messiness, you can turn this feature off.

Chat Window Layout Options
* Want a little more control over how your chat conversations look? You now have the option of picking either "plain layout" or "bubble layout" for your conversations. Just click on the layout button (located above the "Send" button in the chat window) and you can easily switch back and forth between the two.

Meem Recommendation
* Want to get the word out about a particular meem? With the new meem recommendation feature, you can now recommend any public meem to both imeem and non-imeem users.

Meem Chat Enhancements
* Custom text styling (font type, format, color, and size) and a smiley menu have been added to meem chat.

Additional Features
* Friend requests and meem recommendations will now show up in your system tray notifications and the "What's New" page.
* You can now add comments to a photo via the "Actions" button in the imeem viewer.
* You can easily upload music/video and add RSS feeds to your profile by right-clicking the imeem system tray icon.

RES and The Science of Sleep: How Do You Dream?
RES Media Group, imeem, and Michel Gondry Launch A Community Dream Website

August 7th, 2006 (New York, NY) RES Media Group has teamed up with The Science of Sleep filmmaker Michel Gondry, imeem, and Warner Independent Pictures, to produce a community-based website, hosted on the imeem social media network, where users submit, view, analyze, and share their dreams with other members. Users of the site will also have access to exclusive preview video footage, images, and music from The Science of Sleep.

The site, http://HowDoYouDream.com , is an interactive social media community inspired by Gondry’s upcoming film, The Science of Sleep. The custom website, designed by RES Media Group and hosted exclusively on imeem’s social media service, allows visitors to write about their own dreams, as well as upload photos, images, and video-related content to their dream entries to share with Michel and other fans. These dream stories are matched against clips from The Science of Sleep, where similar themes appear in the film. Michel Gondry will personally contribute to the site, sharing video footage of his dreams, posting entries, dream photos and sketches, and interact with imeem’s online social media communities.

The Science of Sleep is a playful romantic comedy fantasy set inside the topsy-turvy brain of Stephane Miroux, an eccentric young man whose dreams constantly invade his waking life. Written and directed by Michel Gondry, The Science of Sleep stars Gael García Bernal, Charlotte Gainsbourg, and Alain Chabat. The film opens in theaters September 22nd.
