Just for us to understand the story--Summary of Episodes 1-4 (actually, just the flow of the story)
For the ones who have not watched TH and don't want to know the storyline, please skip reading this post.

Dr. Su was the youngest Professor in the department/hospital.? Dr. Qiu (Dai Li Ren) was his superior and Dr. Tang (Wu Meng Ta) was the head of the Surgical Department. Dr. Su was a pure, sweet, naive, and compassionate surgeon who chose to focus on his patients' well beings, instead of being involved in power struggle in the hospital.
At that time, the Executive Director of the hospital was about to retire, so Dr. Tang, the Head of the Surgicial Department, and Dr. Xu, the Head of the Internal Medicine, were both fighting for the position.
The story started with the President's daughter, Liu Xin Ping (Saya), who was about to receive the 2nd round of chemotherapy, was admitted to the hospital for implanting a "Port A". Originally, she was referred to Dr. Xu and Dr. Xu tried to go behind Dr. Tang's back and recommended Dr. Su for the surgery, as Dr. Su was the expert in implanting "Port A". According to Dr. Su, others surgeons didn't give a damn on this kind of small surgeries, that's why he had got a lot of experiences, and he had even published a research article in the professional publication.
At first, although Dr. Tang knew about what happened, he didn't mind as he thought that it was only a small surgery, but later, he was reminded that this opportunity would benefit his being the Executive Director in the future. That's why he decided to be Liu Xin Ping's attending physician himself during her hospitalization, to ask Dr. Qiu to perform the procedure, and to exclude Dr. Su from the surgery. Dr. Tang attended the press conference afterwards and claimed all the credits. Dr. Su didn't mind about the credits part but he was very concerned about his "previous" patient.
After the surgery, Liu Xin Ping had a fever of 38 degree. Dr. Qiu thought that it was just a common symptom after surgery, but as Dr. Su was the expert and he knew that possibly it was due to something more serious.
During a meeting for discussing the fever, Dr. Su was invited to attend by Dr. Tang. Dr. Tang used Dr. Su to point out the problem (the current location of Port A might lead to serious blood clog and he recommended to relocate the Port A). Of course, the surgeons didn't agree as they didn't want to admit their mistake and they thought that Dr. Su's recommendations were based on his patient being stolen. Dr. Tang knew the problem but he didn't push for a second surgery as he wanted to take the risk and see whether the problem would get worse. If it would, he wanted the surgeons to take full responsbilities, and then he would help amend the problem at that time, and claimed the credits.
For Dr. Su, all his focus was Liu's well beings. That's why he kept monitoring Liu's situation, although she was not his patient any more. In one scene, he secretly visited Liu and Dr. Qiu saw him when he came out. That's when he was scolded by Dr. Qiu. After that, he was not allowed to visit Liu any more. In last night's episode, he got a call from Liu and he knew that Liu's situation didn't improve, so he rushed to the hospital but he was blocked outside.
Interestingly, Dr. Su had received two emails from an anonymous sender to inform him about the time change of the first surgery and Liu's worsened situation.
On the other hand, Dr. Guan was an anaesthetist. Dr. Guan and Dr. Su attended college at the same time. They seemed to have some kind of romantic involvement then. When their relationship was about to start, Dr. Su needed to serve the army for two years (in TW, medical students need to serve the army right after completing medical school and before being a resident physician). While Dr. Su was serving the army, Dr. Guan left him without explaination, but Dr. Su didn't forget her at all. That's why in episode 1, Dr. Su made some cookies for her and tried to comfort her in the elevator after the incident.
What incident? When the Executive Director of the medical school, Dr. Huang?? (I forgot his last name), who had not performed any surgical procedures for quite a while, performed a minor procedure on a female patient's uterus, the patient died in the middle of it. Although the reason was still unknown, in order to protect himself, the Executive Director of the medical school wanted Dr. Guan to admit that it was her fault. Dr. Guan refused to do so. The family of the patient refused the NT$100,000 from Dr. Huang??. Instead, the family asked for NT$8 millions as compensation and the patient's mom wanted a reason for the patient's death.
In last night's episode, Dr. Su was misunderstood by a lot of people thinking that his care for Liu was because she was the President's daughter. Even the woman he loves, Dr. Guan, misunderstood him when he asked her to pay more attention to Liu in the canteen, as Dr. Guan usually teamed with Dr. Qiu and she had the position to visit Liu. At that time, Dr. Guan was under a lot of pressure because of the incident herself, she said something very hurtful to Dr. Su. That's why Dr. Su was seriously hurt and he said, "Sorry, forget about what I said."
After he took a shower, the 2nd email from the anonymous sender arrived to inform him about Liu's worsened situation. Then he rushed to the hospital again.
