CROWDFIRE: Capture, Upload, Remix and Share

We're really excited about a new kind of festival experience called CrowdFire where fans can share images, video and text with one another. In addition to CrowdFire's core uploading and sharing functionality, members now have the ability to remix their photos, videos and audio with other fans' media into never-seen-before mashups. Remix your media at http://www.crowdfire.net/remix. At Outside Lands, be sure to check out the CrowdFire Pavilion where you can play games, create a cool concert poster, and see how all various fans' media is brought to life.

Created by Outside Lands and Federated Media, and presented by Windows, CrowdFire is an online and onsite destination where music, culture and technology enthusiasts participate in a massive, crowdsourced act of digital media creation. Join thousands of music fans by texting your comments, inspirations, even your best mobile poetry into the CrowdFire, then watch online and onsite as it fuses into a collective multi-media expression of the Outside Lands experience.

We are proud to have Berkeley-based Meyer Sound as the audio systems partner for Outside Lands Festival. They are entrusted with providing sound equipment for the Lands End stage (Polo Fields) and Twin Peaks stage (Speedway Meadows). A festival of this scale requires a professional sound system that can provide high-quality sound for the tens of thousands of festival attendees, and Meyer Sounds systems do just that.

You rock. We know you do. Now let the whole festival know just how hard you rock at Intel's CrowdFire gallery. Swing by the Intel booth, practicing your best air-guitar on the way, and rock out with Guitar Hero. Then, have your Rock & Roll moment captured on video and added to the CrowdFire. There will also be other cool opportunities for fans to use Intel technology. Put your best rock star forward and you might be rewarded for your style.

CrowdFire

The CrowdFire is built by you. An online and onsite Outside Lands destination, you can stoke the CrowdFire by uploading your videos, photos and blog posts. Then watch as the CrowdFire grows by remixing other festival-goers' media with your own. Get in on the action in the message boards. Win free swag with cool contests. Check back in with the CrowdFire for festival news and updates. Then, concertgoers will continue the experiment by uploading their digital media and communications at CrowdFire pavilion kiosks at the Outside Lands festival. The collective expressions of Outside Lands concertgoers will be fused into a real-time digital media mashup displayed on digital screens for the entire festival to enjoy.

The folks at Virgin Megastore are moving their Market street digs into Golden Gate Park for the weekend. They'll be selling CDs & DVDs from all of your favorite bands. Right next door we've set aside some space for artist CD signings taking place throughout the weekend.
