Painted By Numbers are a 4 piece punk/rock/pop band from Keniworth, they are Ben Stokes (vocals Guitar) Ollie Jones (Guitar) Tom Willams (Vocals Bass) and Dave Walker (Drums). Ben Stokes and Olly Jones have been playing guitar together and writing songs IN Kenilworth for a long time now. What is now thought of as Painted by Numbers was formed Autumn 2007: Olly and Ben recruited Dave Walker to play drums in a gig at very short notice in September 2007. The gig never happened as no bassist could be found. Dave however agreed to join Ben and Olly and began practicing as a band, which was at that time nameless. Soon after Dave joined discussion of names began and for a while the band was going to be named ‘Pop Shield’ but then Callum Winter (a school friend) came up with ‘Painted By Numbers’ at school one day and it stuck. A bassist was still needed; the band recruited Tom Williams. Who joined after playing what was going to be a one off gig. Painted By Numbers are curently working on what will be a self-released E.P which may or may not be entitled ‘The Road To PoonTang’ . Tracks up at the moment are will be re-recored properly for the EP. ‘The Summer Song MUSIC VIDEO’ is a homemade video for 'The Summer Song DEMO' track and features the band and their friends in Summer of 2008. It is compiled from videos taken on Ben Stokes’ phone. Those great many people who listen to 102.6 Hillz FM coventry have a chance of hear 'Out and Open' on the radio.
