blog post With the 30-second preview changes to imeem...
Posted in imeem on Jul 08, 2007 at 4:41 PM
...I quit. I'm not posting my imeem playlist on MySpace any longer, as it's all 30 second clips. How lame is this? It's not as if people can download or burn the songs for their own personal use. It stays on my profile, they can add it to their own play list, and that's it.

Whatever. imeem, you fucked up. You're no longer an essential part of the internet revolution 2.0 ~ I hope it was worth it! The least you could have bargained for was to make everything normal sized, unless the artist did NOT want the music shared, and then make it a 30 second clip. That's reasonable. But that's not what you went with, so you lose.

Reader, you can go to my MySpace and see what service I'm using now. www.myspace.com/peon25 ~ I've found two others that allows for music uploads and playlist sharing. Legally.

blog post MySpace fix for imeem.com
Posted in Myspace on Apr 28, 2007 at 5:07 PM
Copy/Pasted from another source...

1)copy the embed url and paste it into word.

2)look for "media.imeem.com/(whatever is here)/"
take that and copy it.

3)go to urlsnip.com and paste it to get a new url which should look like this or something close
ex:urlsnip.com/234234

4)use that new url in place of the old one and just plug it back into the embed code.

blog post MySpace blocking imeem. Again.
Posted in Myspace on Apr 19, 2007 at 3:40 AM
Start re-spamming letters, comments, bugs, etc to MySpace. They'll eventually get the picture. Again.

"imeem" is being changed to ".."
Last time this happened, "imeem.com" was being changed to ".."

So I've been doing saves every 1-5 changes. And then all of the sudden, the play list order reverts back to what it was 12 hours ago. Fucking.. @#^%@$#Y&@ YB @$%Y WRTS

You have got to be fucking kidding me. What in the hell is going on?

Posted in imeem on Mar 28, 2007 at 1:07 AM
None of my imeem counters have updated int he past.. week? Are they broken? The ranking system is working because my play list and songs get bumped down, yet my play list counters are surely not moving up. Gah! I was ranked 9, and now like 17, heh... lameness.~

Hi,

We apologize, however you are not allowed to upload external players to myspace.com. This website in question is deliberately asking users to violate Myspace.com's terms of service.

Also, Uploading songs you do not own is a violation of the artist's copyrights and is against the law. If you upload songs you do not own, your account will be deleted.

Thank you,
Music Support
Myspace.com

There are too many music files uploaded to your profile. Maximum number allowed is 1000

Oops? ;)

It seems after enough bitching and complaining, MySpace has removed blocking of imeem.com. If you still end up with ... instead of imeem.com on your profile or comments, try again; it may take once or twice to get it through, as I estimate it's still being updated to stop the blocking.
