no the movie stunk but there were boobies in it

The song was originally written about Joe DiMaggio and Mrs. Roosevelt but then Simon changed the lyrics for the movie, so it technically was written for the movie, because it came out in the movie and on the soundtrack. Simon and Garfunkel had a lot of songs on the 1968 soundtrack and ended up being the best hit. The movie is great and so is the song.
