Hey, on the Guitar Hero note, most people like one song, they buy the whole album. If you only heard it on Guitar Hero, it brings up more publicity to the band, no matter if they're old or not. So you can hate Guitar Hero, but it's actually helping out at the same time.

Sorry i came across wrong, i dont hate that people are listing to the song, thats great. I hate guitar hero. And what also bothers me is that most of the time people are like OH that song sounds cool, let me jump on the internet and download this one song, to hell with the rest of the album i just want this song on my ipod because everyone else has it on theirs too. There are the occasional exceptions where people are going to start listening to everything the band had put out, but unfortunetly most of the time its just not that way.

People have to hear it from somewhere... it's just as justified as saying "I heard it on the radio and it was awesome!" or "Man, I got a hold of the Colour and the Shape CD and this track kicks ass!". In either case, respect is payed to the band, more people are introduced to the music, and in fact it may add another layer to the enjoyment of the song. It's a bit silly to be prejudiced against someone hearing a song from a particular source... we all hear it from somewhere, otherwise it wouldn't even be up here.

I love this song.

& you shouldn't hate when people know this song from Guitar Hero. These games are a good way for other generations of people to hear music they wouldn't have otherwise had an opportunity to hear. My little 12yr old African America brother loves the Rolling Stones & Motley Crue because he heard their songs on Rock Band & GH.
