London is a strange place. A seething mass of humanity; home to people from all persuasions and all walks of life.
It's a melting pot, a meeting place. Somewhere people from across the world come in the hope, sometimes vain, of meeting like minded people; whether they be fellow musicians, criminals, degenerates, business men or gawd-knows-what.
And from this seething mass of detritus and humanity come Valedictions - three people thrown together from two far-flung corners of the world (we can't claim four corners or seven seas when the sum of nationalities is just two), England and New Zealand.
Formed in early 2008, Valedictions features two of Kiwi's finest exports: Mr Beaver Pooley, former drummer of frenetic garage rockers The D4; and Mr Ross, former bassist of upstarts Pan Am. Completing the lineup is one unknown Englishman.
Valedictions plough a musical furrow best described as heavyassedgybluesgaragerock that your mother would definitely not like.
