Thanks, Imeem, and thanks, Matt Graves (YOU ROCK!). John Hughes was an American original, and his films may be the most articulate depictions of teenage angst in the 1980s, and maybe still today. Also, this makes me even more confident in my belief that 1980s music was a force to be reckoned w/ then and even now, as some of the more interesting records and albums out there now are echoing remembrances and sounds from this era. Truly, 1980-1989 still has an effect on present day music, writing, production, and presentation -- for better or worse (probably both). For those of you listeners who were born after this era, this playlist is a lot like what the average radio stations sounded like for us in the "excessive '80s". Am I the only one who has Molly Ringwald on the brain while listening to this time trip?
