From humble beginnings in a rural French Canadian home town, Céline Dion has risen to international superstardom like a shooting star. The entire world has seen Céline Dion literally transform herself from a gifted pre-adolescent into an international superstar.Born in Charlemagne (a small town 30 miles east of Montreal, Quebec, Canada), Céline is the youngest of 14 children of a highly musical family. Her parents, both musicians, operated a small club, and on weekends, the entire family performed and entertained the local population. From the tender age of 5, Céline sang with her siblings and quickly acquired the ability to perform live. At the age of twelve, together with her mother and one of her brothers, Céline composed a French song which would forever alter the course of her life.

"IT'S HARD TO SAY GOODBYE"
(Duet with Paul Anka) (1998)
Celine Dion joined Paul Anka to record the song "It's Hard To Say Goodbye'' for his album released in 1998, "A Body Of Work". Celine and Paul had recorded before the same song in spanish "Mejor Decir Adios" for Paul's album "Amigos" released in 1996.

(Theme song in 'Children On Their Birthdays') (2002)
Celine Dion recorded the song I have to dream, written by JD Hinton, Rick Solemn & Ross Vannelli, for the movie 'Children On Their Birthdays'. Inspired from Truman Capote's story, the movie was only aired in a few american cinemas.

"A WORLD TO BELIEVE IN"
(Theme Song in ''Maboroshi no Yamataikoku")(2008)
Celine's Japanese version of "A World To Believe In" will be released as a single on October 22! Originally appearing on 'Taking Chances', Celine recorded a Japanese rendition for the new film, 'Maboroshi no Yamataikoku'. The single also features "A World To Believe In" in English, the live version of "My Love" and the new song "There Comes A Time".

"HERE, THERE AND EVERYWHERE"
(1998)
Celine covered Beatles' song Here, there and everywhere for a classical tribute album In My Life from Beatles' famous producer Sir George Martin, released in 1998. In the booklet, George Martin wrote about Celine:
"This is not only my favourite Paul McCartney song, it is probably his as well, so writing a special arrangement of it for one of my favourite voices was a daunting proposition. I do not think Celine is capable of making anything but a perfect sound, and I was thrilled to hear every take getting better and better. We ended up recording two tracks together; one for my album and one for hers (The reason on the album Let's Talk About Love). Both were terrific, and it was a session to remember."
The original version is from the Beatles' album Revolver, originally released in 1966.

"SEND ME A LOVER"
(1994)
Celine recorded a cover of Send me a lover and it is featured on several charity albums: Kumbaya 94 for people living with AIDS/VIH, In Between Dances in aid of breast cancer research, The Power Of Peace released for the 50th anniversary of the charity organisation Care and Women For Women 2 an album for the benefit of the fight against breast cancer.
