blog post Love
Posted in Marie's on Jan 08, 2008 at 4:19 PM
Current mood: happy
You're my man, my mighty king,
And I'm the jewel in your crown,
You're the sun so hot and bright,
I'm your light-rays shining down,

You're the sky so vast and blue,
And I'm the white clouds in your chest,
I'm a river clean and pure,
Who in your ocean finds her rest,

You're the mountain huge and high,
I'm the valley green and wide,
You're the body firm and strong,
And I'm a rib bone on your side,

You're an eagle flying high,
I'm your feathers light and brown,
You're my man, my king of kings,
And I'm the jewel in your crown.

blog post A Special World
Posted in Marie's on Jan 08, 2008 at 4:16 PM
Current mood: happy

A special world for you and me
A special bond one cannot see
It wraps us up in its cocoon
And holds us fiercely in its womb.

Its fingers spread like fine spun gold
Gently nestling us to the fold
Like silken thread it holds us fast
Bonds like this are meant to last.

And though at times a thread may break
A new one forms in its wake
To bind us closer and keep us strong
In a special world, where we belong.

blog post I love You ...
Posted in Marie's on Nov 06, 2007 at 11:50 AM
Current mood: happy
Your lips speak soft sweetness
Your touch a cool caress
I am lost in your magic
My heart beats within your chest
I think of you each morning
And dream of you each night
I think of your arms being around me
And cannot express my delight
Never have I fallen
But I am quickly on my way
You hold a heart in your hands
That has never before been given away

blog post I'll Sit Here And Pray
Posted in Marie's on Nov 06, 2007 at 11:38 AM
Current mood: thankful

So I'll sit here now and I'll pray to You('though I can't really say why),as the walls collapse around me and my loved ones suffer and die,
and my health gives way and bills pile up and time slips too quickly past, as I count all the joys life's denied me, and those that didn't last. I'll offer You thanks, my Creator, for the gifts You've yet to repeal; for walking and vision and laughter, for music, and dreams that seem real, for people who love me and seasons that change, for my body's own memories of love, and I'll sit here and pray in the darkness, for all the good it does.

Pick Up Your Pen When the darkness falls And you're just barely clinging to a single, rapidly unraveling thread on life's frayed garment. Pick up your pen And in the broadest, boldest strokes you can manage Write the name of love across the sky

blog post Beauty
Posted in Marie's on Nov 06, 2007 at 11:34 AM
Current mood: mellow

That which God said to the rose,
and caused it to laugh in full-blown beauty,
he said to my heart,
and made it a hundred times more beautiful.
We are the music makers and we are the dreamers of dreams...

Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything that is beautiful; for beauty is God's handwriting -- a wayside sacrament. Welcome it in every fair face, in every fair sky, in every fair flower, and thank God for it as a cup of blessing.

blog post 'Change' - it's but a word but what that word can do is powerful!"

Current mood: optimistic
In your darkest hour, never worry that there is no hope for the future. The most extraordinary thing about this life is that YOU are the author of your own destiny, and you get to decide what's in the next chapter.

There are some things in life that don't go the way you want them to or the way you think they should, but you can't dwell on these because you'll miss out on other opportunites. Don't give up one something just because you don't think things will work, you won't know unless you give it a try. But don't hold onto something that left a long time ago, because sooner or later you'll realize some things just aren't meant to be. Don't let your past dictate who you are, but let it be part of who you will become.

It's not enough to have a dream, unless you're willing to pursue it. It's not enough to know what's right, unless you're strong enough to do it. It's not enough to learn the truth, unless you also learn to live it. It's not enough to reach for love, unless you care enough to give it. Men who are resolved to find a way for themselves will always find opportunities enough; and if they do not find them, they will make them.

"After a while you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul, and you learn that love doesn't mean leaning and company doesn't mean security, and you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts and presents aren't promises, and you begin to accept your defeats with your head up and your eyes open, with the grace of an adult, not the grief of a child. You learn to build all your roads on today because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans. After a while you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much. So, plant your own garden and decorate your own soul, instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers. And you learn that you really can endure... that you really are strong, and you really do have worth."

blog post THE GEOGRAPHY OF A WOMAN
Posted in Women on Mar 28, 2007 at 7:49 PM
Between 18 and 20 a woman is like Africa, half discovered, half
wild,
naturally beautiful with fertile deltas.
Between 21 and 30 a woman is like America, well developed and
open
to trade
especially for someone with cash.
Between 31 and 35 she is like India, very hot, relaxed and
convinced of her
own beauty.
Between 36 and 40 a woman is like France. Gently going but still
a
warm and
desirable place to visit.
Between 41 and 50 she is like Yugoslavia, lost the war - haunted
by
past
mistakes. Massive reconstruction is now
necessary.
Between 51 and 60, she is like Russia, very wide and borders are
unpatrolled. The frigid climate keeps people away.
Between 61 and 70, a woman is like Mongolia, with a glorious and
all
conquering past but alas, no future.
After 70, they become Afghanistan. Most everyone knows where it
is,
but no
one wants to go there.

THE GEOGRAPHY OF A MAN

Between 15 and 70 a man is like Iraq- ruled by a dick.

SEND THIS TO A SMART WOMAN WHO NEEDS LAUGH AND TO THE MAN
YOU
THINK CAN
HANDLE IT.

blog post Who is this Black Woman?
Posted in Marie's on Mar 28, 2007 at 7:40 PM
Black women... we come in all shapes and sizes. But we are beautiful, both inside and out, in everyway. This is for my sisters out there......who are proud to be black and loving it..Who is this Black Woman?
Who is the Black Woman?

She is strength...independence...and determination.

Who is the Black Woman?

She is beautiful...in her nature, in her being, and in herself.

She comes in hues from the palest of ivory to the deepest of ebony.

Her skin is wonderful... warm, soft, and firm to the touch.

She possesses a smile that can light up the world.

And her eyes can capture your soul.

She is: Insightful, Inquisitive, the essence of Sexiness...

from her lips, to her breast, to her hips, to her back side.

That is who the Black Woman is...
