THEY SAY THAT MORTON STATED THAT HE INVENTED JAZZ, HE SAID NO SUCH THING, IT WAS ALL TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT, WHAT HE SAID WAS HE INVENTED THE FORMAL COMPOSITION OF JAZZ, MEANING THAT HE WAS FIRST TO COMPOSE JAZZ TO WRITTEN MUSIC COMPOSITIONS, WHICH HE IN FACT DID!
