yeah as a sonic youth fan i have to go with Daydream Nation as the cd to go with even tho i liked all their albums

I think I'll go with Daydream Nation... My friend at school recommended the same one. He's also quite a fan of them.

Hey, Sonic Youth is one of my all time favorite bands... for a first album, I would go with Daydream Nation, although I love Sister so much. Dirty is good, but it was like an attempt at alterna-punk... Sister and Daydream capture there authentic sounds; pick either of those two as a first, although I would go with Daydream Nation.
