Hi, glad you like Random Hold. Actually, Jingles turned me onto them! Lol
I agree with the Roxy comparison. I never would have thought The Cars, until one of my contacts, 'Will' made the comparison. They have an early Roxy sound, combined with some Eno "Warm Jets" and "Tiger Mountain" moments as well I feel. But the production is top notch, and pure late 70's-early 80's.

Hi, yes I used to play 'Junior B' hockey when I was younger, but these days I only puck around a little bit now and then with friends. I really should play more, as I have a beautiful public arena a stone throw from my house. I haven't skated since last winter.
Glad that you're enjoying Random Hold...Elwood Bodine has an entire playlist devoted to them:

I'm glad you liked them. Yeah, the vocalists name is 'Random Hold'..and he sort of reminds me of a masculine Brian Eno! Lol
The album 'Etceteraville' was produced by Van der Graaf Generator frontman Peter Hammill. The bassist was Bill McCormick who played with Phil Manzanera/801, and 'Quiet Sun' back in the 70's. Here's my album review from the 'Rate Your Music' website...I'm Dr. Progenstein:

I added a few of their songs to my 'Rarities' playlist, but Elwood Bodine has several more in a playlist dedicated to them over at his page...Cheers!
