pete rock & cl smooth, a tribe called quest, souls of mischief, common & so much other classic late 80s/early 90s "golden age" hip hop, hieroglyphics, all the soulquarians, lauryn hill, dwele, lupe fiasco, the legendary roots crew!, little brother, black star, random 80s janet jackson, prince, stevie wonder, marvin gaye; i also love a lotta gospel worship music & hip hop too - the whole 116 clique, da truth in particular, israel & new breed, joshua's troop, keke sheard, & anybody else with the courage to use music to praise God in a nontraditional way! ain't nothing wrong with old school either b/c clearly i have no problem with "vintage" music...thats where all the "new" stuff comes from anyway! people runnin out of ideas these days, esp in hip hop

i kinda have weird phases depending on what i'm feeling so at the moment i been listening to pete rock & cl smooth's The Main Ingredient & i havent been able to get random souls of mischief songs out of my head. so yeah. also i sorta dissed Talib Kweli recently so my friend has me listening to eardrum...that is all
