Tenjochiki - Japanese group name
The Grace - English group name
Four graceful, beautiful and talented girls had descended from heaven to bring us a different style of music and entertainment. Their group means simply means "Heaven above Wisdom and Joy" and they are compose of Lina, Dana, Sunday and Stephanie. They were solo performers before, then SM Entertainment discovered their potential as a group as their voices matched well. Thus they decided to form a new Kpop female group that can do acapella, sing and dance with a total performance as artists. CSJH aims success not only in their homeland of South Korea, but also China, Japan and Asia as a whole. They had a pre-debut in September 14, 2004 and their official debut was in China, April 29, 2005. CSJH had their first Japanese single released on January 25, 2006, the beginning of their debut in Japan calling their group as Tenjochiki. In 2007, their new single "Piranha" was released and became their best-selling single in Japan. They had their first Japanese album "Graceful 4" but it didn't fare well on the Oricon charts. But in 2008, their sixth single "Stand Up People" which was released on July 23 did well on the weekly Oricon charts. Their success was followed by the release of their 7th Single "Here" with feat of Cliff Edge on October 22. "Here" was at the top of the pre-order charts and ranked in the Top 20 of J-POP USEN chart in August and September. It was chosen to be the theme song of both drama and movie of "Homeless School Student (Homeless Chugakusei)", based on a Japanese best-seller book of the same title which sold 2.2 million copies within two months of its publication. "Here" has set the record as the first song in history to be used as a theme for both a drama series and a movie and The Grace's most successful release yet. Last January 7, 2009, the second album of Tenjochiki was released titled "Dear..." with "Sukoshi Di Ii Kara" (A Little Bit of Good) as the main cover. Other songs on the album were written by Dana and Lina.
