Music has been used for sleep deprivation & disorientation of prisoners since at least the '60s; the CIA used to use Yoko Ono records for this purpose, until even more abrasive records started coming out in the Late '70s & '80s.

Try blindfolding yourself, putting on handcuffs in a stress position, depriving yourself of food and water, cranking up the AC to an unbearable temperature, and then pick a song (any song!) and play it on repeat at an excruciatingly high volume for 24 hours.

Whaaat??? All these songs were professionally recorded to entertain the masses...... whether by way of radio or t.v. I can think far worse noise than this!!!! How bout nails on a chalkboard? A squeaky toy, even! Screaming brats? Or why not just playing a demo by some really shitty unknown garage band? I dunno.
