Raised in Vacaville, CA by a librarian Mother while obsessively playing sports, Mode's strong grasp of language complemented his competitive nature, focusing a new, serious rapper. After an insurmountable injury that took him out of national college sports for good in 2006, and while citing his father’s influence, who to this day is a massive influence in his life, Mode found a home in Oakland, CA where his journey into music truly began. With a unique blend of genres and self-created samples that place him within the more commercial side of hip-hop, even with his underground, rawly accessible tone, Mode is still 100% music lover. "To me, music is a soundtrack to my life. Its sets the tone, it sets the mood. I have a song for when I wake up and a song for when I go to sleep. I always have," he explains. Currently a student at Expression Digital Arts College, Mode has worked with Clyde Carson as his Engineer/Producer, as well as The Team, artist MacArthur, Ontario Holmes a.k.a. ‘Flychild,’ Producer Freeze and Top 200 Billboard Artist Stubby. Look for his upcoming release, still untitled, out mid-2009.
