Thank a soldier; when you see one at the airport give a "Welcome Home" or just a thumbs up. You'll be amazed at how good you'll both feel

I have fought in the streets, on the back roads and in the palm groves of Africa and Iraq. I have faced unknown dangers and and made it home safely. But the men who fought in WWII have my utmost respect. I have had the honor of standing on the sands Iwo Jima. It is amazing what these men were subjected to, yet they pushed foward, they fought, they bleed and some died. We must never forget. To them all, I give my personal thanks and respect. I am proud to have followed in their path.

It was the Greatest Generation that prevented people like myself from ending up being in "the showers". Never has any other generation owed so much to those that stopped the tyranny of fascism. I have and continued to hold in great reverance their sacrifice. John Williams does it with the eternal music, may we always have the freedom to hear his best.

so many movies with so many songs, i've never heard one of his songs that I haven't liked.
He is so good at capturing the theme of the movies he writes songs for

This song is a tribute to the men who so bravely and courageously met their fate on that day so long ago. It is a lulliby to those who fell, and a sweet refrain to those who remember their comrades. God Bless you John Williams.
