As It was in The Days of Lot
When Jesus said in Luke 17:29-30, 'As it was in the days of Lot, even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed', He was inviting us to cast our thoughts back to Genesis 18, for when this Gentile civilization is in a Sodom condition, and just before He destroys the earth with fire from heaven, God will send three messengers, 'as it was in the days of Lot'.

Jesus said the moral and spiritual condition of those two Gentile cities would repeat in the end time, and that the Genesis account of God's warning was a pattern and type of the warning He would send to the Gentile believers of this last day.

Two messengers will preach a salvation message to today's religious Lots, who imagine themselves Christians, but are living in the world. And as the unbelievers of that day were blinded and could not find the door, their preaching of the Gospel will blind some and open the eyes of others.

But did you notice one Messenger stayed with Abraham? Separated from the tinsel of television evangelism and 'Christian' rock groups of his day. This Man showed Abraham a sign which identified Him as the Word: He discerned the thoughts of Abraham and Sarah's hearts. That same Sign identified Christ as Messiah.

'For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart' (Hebrews 4:12).

Abraham interceded for his backslidden nephew, and immediately after Lot and his daughters were saved, God destroyed the cities and gave Abraham and Sarah new bodies to receive their promised son.

The world IS in a Sodom condition, God HAS sent Billy Graham to the fundamental church, and Oral Roberts to the Pentecostals. But what about the elect represented by Abraham? As He promised, God HAS veiled Himself in His Fullness behind a sinner saved by grace, and identified Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever by the Messianic Sign of Hebrews 4:12.

This was the last Sign Jesus promised before the end of the Gentile Dispensation. The 'angel' to the seventh or Laodicean Church Age was to be a prophet in the Office of Elijah, whose ministry would restore the saints to the apostolic faith, finish the mystery of God, and call God's elect out of Babylon to be filled with the Spirit for the manifestation of the sons of God and the translation.

It is later than we think. God HAS revealed the Son of man by the Messianic Sign around and around the world seven times, before single congregations of hundreds of thousands. The dead have been raised, sight restored to the blind, cripples, cancers, and heart ailments cured, and demons cast out -- exactly as the Bible said He would.

Like Abraham, Christ's Bride is just waiting for her new body so she can meet Her Lord in the air. Though these things are in books available from all Christian bookstores, the church does not believe. She is not even looking for a prophet, let alone the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in the Sky.

The day of the Lord will come as a thief, and when Christ takes His Bride, and the church will know nothing about it. Jesus said, 'She is naked, and blind, miserable, and wretched, and KNOWETH IT NOT'. 'As it was in the days of Lot'. strat008.htm
