I heard this in Music Theory class last Friday during "Dead Musician Friday". I absolutely love this song, it's so beautiful.

Its amazing how a song can stop you in your tracks and make you think about life like this song does.... It feels like you sitting face to face with someone who is pouring out there soul to you...

i agree with Tyrell. i mean the way he sings is so moving....you understand that he has nothing. it is amazing that he can put so much emotion into a simple song

I love this song. The first time I heard it, I cried. The emotion that Johnny pours into this song makes it so special.

in Johnny cash's you can feel the pain of a person who had lost it all and has finally come to terms that he's at his end

I like the NIN version...But, when Cash sings it...It just for some reason feels real....His life can relate to the words of the lyrics. He did such an awesome job on it.....

This song reminds me of my grandfather when he died, It makes me so sad to think of him hearing this song and how he probably wished he could change things but it was to late. Today's music can't give you real emotion like this.
