Mel “Pixi” Anderson is a twenty-nine year old author recently published through Publish America. Currently expanding her horizons into non-fiction autobiographical works, children’s fairy tales and lyricist. Finding her traditional outlet being her off beat hand in percussions, poetry and spoken word she aspires into everything from short essay’s on rather outspoken political views into environmental, theological and metaphysical works.

While she was born in Washington State, she made it a point after spending most of her youth in the judicial system to get out and see the States in all of their golden grain and purple mountain glory. After spending the better part of 8 years backpacking 48 of the 50 she has once again nested in the Evergreen State to pen out a bit more fluff, while comfortably keeping her gypsy title.

How ever growing up a ‘fallen through the cracks’ kid, has only sparked her imagination and unrestrained writing forms she eloquently manages to touch just about any status with her tender hand at poetry.

Her newest book "Precognitive Casualty: A book of profound revelations prolifically poetically premeditated through the art of rant and rhyme." is now available for purchase through most major book sellers.

She has this to say about her book:

"My hope is with this book people can open their eyes a bit to the idea that hey, maybe we aren't all perfect and hey, we all have problems but there's bigger issues than what allot of poets are known for being nice about. Yes, I'm glad I wrote this speaking out, yes I am proud I support my artists, my fellow Gypsies, Derelicts and Servicemen and other Artists.

I think I did well with just about covering the spectrum of what a poet can randomly write on a napkin in a bar, something inspired by a political- religious debate over a pool table in some random pub in some random town.

I pretty much covered the next generation gypsies unspoken Jack Kerouac's of today. Somehow we live on.

The true heartland Americana- patriotic non-sense in motion, tributes to my Tattoo artists, my Military, My Earth.

Oh yes, and then there were those romantic hateful moments in life. Yes, those are always fun.

The Survivors.

And then to top it all off some of the worst song lyrics I've ever written along with some of what I someday might call song lyrics and some stuff that has no business being shoved into a book of poetry! Basically I guess, it might even be a laugh, and definitely worth the 2.99 I would pay for it."

"I have to laugh at the fact most of the people who pre-ordered my book through my publisher and now bought it since its release have gotten their copies, I still haven't even seen it, though I love that even my closest friends who have read it can "balls up" enough to say what they read is NOTHING like they expected from a book of poetry. That in itself if nothing else is rewarding. I don't want to be expected, I would rather be... interesting. I absolutely warn people it will not be what they expect, oh no, even the first 2 pages are disclaimers from my publisher and myself but hey, if you have to go down as a literary bullet or flop, at least I can say it was worth taking the risk."
