Buzzed W. I commend you on your logic, but I feel that "The Good Music" is not thrust forth enough for this to be the case. Certain songs can only be found by tracing a path through the "Related Music" lists, or going to a backwoods page of an artist's profile. But perhaps you are right, and it's just that Imeem is relying on our hunting skills of old.

Coldplay copied this song cuz this was out way before those no talent hacks copied his song...

As far as your demographics goes, this is part of the cleintel Imeem has targeted for a reason. Because twenty years from now those same targeted age groups will be listening to a wider variety and more encompassing set of music guarantee it. Sure I completely agree that the teeny boppers one hit wonders are something I don't enjoy listening to really but it's just a phase for them and they will grow out of it just as I have grown out of it. I use this site every day almost and have not trouble finding what I want for music. I find some cool things on this site to read about and it ain't always on the from page of Imeem...

hokay yeaaaah I have ta agree with Wiffle Waffle here bout Satch.....n many other immensely multi-talented artists that dont get radio time cuz they aren't 'cheeze cake' material for teh mean avg tweenie 13yr...errrrgh they are sooooooo fuggin clueless!!! Wouldn't know true artistic talent if it sat on their face.....bubble gum tuneage that radio has a talent ta wear out to teh enth degree neva appealed to me way back n still doesn't to this day......loike I said too cheezy cutesy....

Thank goodness artists loike Satch and many others stick to their principles.....creating jammen rawken tuneage that gets yuh feelin and thinkin'.....no bloody wunder there are sooooooo many 'indie...independant' record labels out there now.....cuz teh big nanners don't or won't give em teh time of day......toooo sad

It IS Meem's targeted demographic age range that patronizes here.....wot a shame cuz I don't really give a rats azz that they buy their fuggin zuma tennys at Footlocker or go to Wallyworld ta buy their music...errrrrgh!!!! why do yuh think the 'rock' genre is at teh bottom of teh heap at teh bottom of any given page in here? Why do yuh think Lil Wayne is at teh top of teh heap of artists???? hmmmmm must be that demographic age bracket in here! LOL

Hey guys, before you go and say "Oh coldplay is better just look at the charts, look at how much more airplay they get, dur-de-duh-de-dur..." How often do you hear a guitar instrumental on the radio? I have heard not once, EVER, anything by Paul Gilbert, Joe Satriani, John Petrucci (not including his work in Dream Theatre) or heck, even Eric Johnson (fine, I admit, during the GH3 craze I did hear Cliffs' once on an obscure college station) on the radio. Music like this does not get the exposure that mainstream music gets. It's not really talent or genius that always gets you to the top of the industry, but more often luck and appeal. (Jonas Brothers anyone?) The ease of marketing is what makes most artists big. If a bigshot executive sees someone that will be easy to advertise, appeal to a certain demographic, they will be more likely to take such an "artist" over the more exotic artist, whose music may not be appealing to every casual listener that dials in, or walks through the music section, but is more powerful and more musical than the hypothetical _____ brothers band.

And before you scold me on using the term "more musical", music that somehow manages to use 5 different guitar scales, seemingly every advanced picking technique, and several layers of harmony and come out with a end result that is a gourmet 50stuft oreo of music is rightfully more musical than some random song that uses a basic drum beat and 5 chords.
