imeem, Warner Independent Pictures, And RES Media Group Launch A Social Media Site For Michel Gondry's The Science of Sleep
NEW YORK, NY -- August 7th, 2006 -- RES Media Group has teamed up with The Science of Sleep filmmaker Michel Gondry, imeem, and Warner Independent Pictures, to produce a community-based website, hosted on the imeem social media network, where users submit, view, analyze, and share their dreams with other members. Users of the site will also have access to exclusive preview video footage, images, and music from The Science of Sleep.
The site, http://HowDoYouDream.com is an interactive social media community inspired by Gondry’s upcoming film, The Science of Sleep. The custom website, designed by RES Media Group and hosted exclusively on imeem’s social media service, allows visitors to write about their own dreams, as well as upload photos, images, and video-related content to their dream entries to share with Michel and other fans. These dream stories are matched against clips from The Science of Sleep, where similar themes appear in the film. Michel Gondry will personally contribute to the site, sharing video footage his dreams, posting entries, dream photos and sketches, and interact with imeem’s online social media communities.
The Science of Sleep is a playful romantic comedy fantasy set inside the topsy-turvy brain of Stephane Miroux, an eccentric young man whose dreams constantly invade his waking life. Written and directed by Michel Gondry, The Science of Sleep stars Gael García Bernal, Charlotte Gainsbourg, and Alain Chabat. The film opens in theaters September 22nd.
