lol this song is awesome. i only have the instrumental one from Blue, the full version, because of its graphic lyrics & particularly violent nature around the time of the Columbine High School Massacre, wasnt released until 2006 on "A Collection"
It definitely gives the song more meat, more substance & emotional resonance to it. It's all about how we see all these horrible things on TV and movies, and they are all in slow motion, (at least a good amount of time they are) hence the title. It's about how as we keep on seeing these things, and critics tell us how to think by saying they have such "artistic beauty", and we actually start to think they are beautiful too, even though they are actually disgusting things.

Okay... have you seen the movie Rules of Attraction? If you have then you know the part when the girl is doing coke and her nose starts to bleed and they like laugh about it and she's like, "ah rusty pipes, haha".

I mean all people aren't like that, but Hollywood is trying to convey that image and so many kids who are just trying to fit in see it and they do it too and they are swallowed up by it.

This song has GREAT words tho! theres actually has some real magic to it!

Really powerful song to say the least, and I really get sick of people who hear it and they are like, "oh my god, that song is so sick" cause they just hear exploding flesh and guys beating their wife, and they fail to realize the message the point the song is proving becuase they are the people who go to the movies where the guys beating his wife and gangsters are shooting eacohther... but to those people I say... "the jokes on you".
