Daddy's Little Girl

Her eyes were heavy,
her breathing slow.
Her parents left wondering,
why such innocence must go.
She has done no wrong,
had committed no sin.
At least the gates of Heaven,
will gladly let her in.
But still her mother's crying,
her father holding strong.
The family shattered,
torn apart,
to hear this angel's song.
She holds onto her mother,
maybe now she can go home,
but her mother turns toward the door,
and the girl was left alone.
The doctor comes,
he's with a priest,
and he prays unto his Lord.
"Let this girl rest in peace
or let her be reborn."
Her pulse has quickened,
the pain returned,
She feels she's letting go.
Her mother watches
helplessly
as her child's death is slow.
The girl screams for her mother,
Her life is short, she knows.
"Oh Mommy, please help me,
oh please don't let me go!"
"I'm too young to die, I know
I've done no wrong.
Please just help me, mother, please!
Alone I can't be strong!"
Tears fall down her precious face
as her mother turns her head,
and in that instant her child gave in,
and then a child was dead.

I could say this
Like it’s a lie
Oh, like it doesn’t even matter
Very simple it will sound..
Even though the meaning is so confusing…
Yet so straightforward
On the tip of my tongue these three words are sitting,
Until I get the courage to shout it out…
I love you!
Shattered Soul

Under a willow tree, Sam sat alone
And to her the wind would whisper words unknown
She was broken or lost, no longer whole
No one could reach her mind, nor wake her shattered soul
You just drove off she would say to no one
How could you just leave me here before it was done?
She had been alright once, not more than a year
Though not fully alive, she lived not in anguish or fear
A quick witted girl and unusually kind
She was an innocent beauty, the elegant rare find
However, she lived in the box which society was to keep her confined
And by her soft spoken nature, she hadnt the will to break its steadfast bind
For the rest of her life, she might have been a prisoner of circumstance
Had not it been for the day that was fated with improbable chance
He came into her normal, dreary suffocating life
And the haze that had taken her was cut away by some invisible knife
At first shed been quiet, and frequently almost a little cold
But he had came out wily and crafty and straight out too bold
She would walk the halls, giving no glances to anyone for a long while
Until he caught her eye and flashed her his captivating wry smile
He was enthralled by her, and was easy entranced
And she could feel herself falling as his liquid brown eyes danced
They would constantly argue in the time that would pass
And each thought the other a total and complete pain in the ass
Yet from their disagreements came respect and rapture
They had a certain passion and love that none could recapture
But they were different, no matter how hard they tried
And there were some things that could not stay denied
Her soul was tame and her temper was mild
He needed freedom, like a restless wind he was wild
So she followed him, and the rules he would break
As long as she was with him, nothing was too much to take
He would never get drunk, but often would drink
And later she would hear stories that would make her heart sink
And other girls too often would loosely throw themselves at him
Above all was a fiery redheaded snake, named Kim
Kim had once been his, but he assured her that it was in the past
But his words meant nothing, Kim was bitter and desperate to hold on to him fast
With cruel intent, Kim befriended Sam and started lies in her head
Hell take off, he always does, was the lie most often said
Sam didnt believe it, until drifting through a party one night
Her head spun and she choked back tears to see such a treacherous sight
Kim sat in his lap, to his lips she kissed
He pushed her away, and she knew he was pissed
But Sam told herself he could have stopped it
That he liked the attention and the whole dangerous girl bit
In that moment, Sam knew she was obsolete
She could never have those sexy girls wild fiery heat
Sam was already drunk by the time he found her
She yelled at him to leave her alone, and the rest was a blur
Now Sam sat beneath the tree alone, when she heard someone behind her say
"I thought I would find you here today"
It was Kim, with tears spilt down her cheeks and eyes
Sam simply said "Did he ask you to come here and tell me more lies?"
"How can you play this sick game?" Kim spat with despair
She slapped Sam with all her strength and yelled, "Remember! You were there!"
The sanity she had lost, came back in a blinding flash
The lies she had wrapped herself in, fell away with a crash
A month ago, she had driven off in her car drunk and crying
Sober, he had followed her in his own car, so fast he was flying
She swerved off the road, and got out of her car and into the street
With wide eyes full of fear, he got out of his, and struggled to get her on her feet
He cleared her off the road, but she fought and kicked him hard
Roughly knocked off his balance, she watched him slowly fall backward
A semis horn sounded and there came a great light
And then Sams world darkened and was left in the night
Looking around, past Kim and the weeping willow tree
A graveyard stretching far and wide, was what Sam could see
She fell on her hands and knees, panting as the fog cleared away from her mind
And the sanity shredding memory re-bloomed from an abyss from behind
In front of her was his tombstone, his name engraved in stone
But she could feel him alive in her, like a burning deep in the bone
"You set a fire in me," she said in hushed whispering
"But without you, it has destroyed everything"
