You want to become a teacher of English, and I like this idea very much. Maybe you won't believe what I am going to tell you, but I really think that you would have nothing to lose by studying also Interlingua. He who knows Interlingua learns better any other language, mainly a language, as English, that owes to Latin 40% or so of its vocabulary.
