I freakin' love this song! One of the first jazzy pieces I heard when I was a baby, and one of the first things I ever heard by Mr. Loggins. I love the productions that were created in the 1970s! It was the first time that sound was really being controlled and influenced in a studio...also, it was when session musicians who knew how to play were the staple. Am I the only one who thinks that Kenny Loggins and Lindsey Buckingham sound like two sides of the same coin? This was during the "Rumours" era, and I actually thought when I was like 4 yrs. old that "Whenever I call you friend" was actually a Fleetwood Mac, "Rumours" track, due to the fact that Stevie was dueting w/ Kenny, who has the same power and range as Lindsey...they could sing each other's songs practically. Anyway, great atmosphere on this song, and, of course, Mike McDonald is featured here...what more needs to be said?
