The world was never the same after September 11th for any of us, especially for Sim-City as he watched the towers fall on the morning of his birthday. A shadow of paranoia and uncertainty clouded everything, and in its midst something even more sinister took hold. An unchecked power played God under the cloak of a "War On Terror" and began deciding for all of us who lives and who dies. Playing on our own vulnerability, liberties were taken and fortunes were amassed beyond our greediest dreams; and all this at our own expense. Laws were re-written, lives were sacrificed; fear brought the world to its knees, and all who opposed were silenced.
Self proclaiming himself the world's "Most Dangerous MC," every bar Sim-City spits represents defiance. In him lives the hope that the few will stand against the many for the sake of the future. His music reminds us of a time in Hip Hop, when there was nothing more popular than to be the public enemy. When standing in the cross hairs of the powers that be was an honor worthy of only our greatest. Secure in the knowledge that even in one's torture, there is victory.
