Go!
Strange things happen in a lifetime
I was yesterday's ..
Tomorrow's ours
Those who see no bars
Refuse to crack or give up
Powerful men, raise your hands and deliver
No superstition to which we all claim
..................

The sun hides itself concealing its grin
And waits for the dawn to reveal itself again

Oh, young cardinals, nesting in the trees
Oh, hear our song
And rain your innocence on me

One, two, three, four!

Strange things happen in the night-time hours
......... crazed and wolves devour
Ghosts of love are going through the blinds (?)
Nicotine babies will pull those vines (?)

The god of the sea is swinging his trident
We stoke our fires with the bones of tyrants
The sun infiltrates through the dust and the dead
And waits for the dawn to reveal itself again

Oh, young cardinals nesting in the trees
Oh, hear our song
And rain your innocence on me

Young cardinals take flight
Return to nest in the black of night
There are things you were not meant to know
(repeat)

Oh, young cardinals
Nesting in the trees
Oh, hear our song
And rain your innocence on me

Oh, young cardinals(x4)
Oh...

lmao @michael jones

ever think george was kidding? he even said in a recent interview they like to fuck with people all the time.

they told everyone the band was breaking up and that dallas had moved to california, did you believe that too?

obviously he knows how to play all the old songs, even if he wasnt the drummer then, but as they release more records, their music changes, and they obviously are going to play more stuff from their newer cd's to promote them.

its very simple actually...

well when i saw them about a year and a half ago, and i haven't seen them since, the only old song they played was 44 caliber love letter. plus the only actual old song on that set list link you posted is water wings and other pool side fashion faux pas, and that set list is a year and a half old. that's the around the same time i saw them, plus there more likely to play less old music the farther they get into their career. and about being a passed band, just cuz they have progressed doesnt mean they should shun their older fans that have been with them since the beginning. they could do what other great bands like funeral for a friend do and play an even amount of songs from every cd http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/funeral-for-a-friend/2009/foundry-university-of-sheffield-sheffield-united-kingdom-4bd63f2e.html.
if they headline with 17 songs they can place 5 from first... 5 from second... and 7 from old and make everyone happy. they would still be playing more new to show their progression and enough old to show that they haven't forgotten their roots.

http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/alexisonfire/2007/pne-forum-vancouver-bc-canada-53d6bba9.html There you go, see the ratbeard knows first album songs. Its more likely they dont play older songs because they dont want to be held as a passed band. Also you cant cite your self as fact as no one has heard it other than yourself and you have just claimed that Jordan doesnt know the songs, when he clearly does

Hey nathan read it again... it says "if you have seen them live and talked to "geogre" you would know he is a prick with a bad attitude and underminds his own music (alexisonfire first album). anyone that claims they lack care for their first record is living with regret and is in denial of the first chapter of their music career, especially since that beginning makes almost any talented band who they are as a person and a musician."". remove the shit from your eyes and get your facts straight before you start spittin out your opinion like its the word of god. i heard what i heard and he said what he said... and for your information this argument was never about what song i like better from which album. like i said before i dont give a fuck what you think as you probably dont care what i think, im just trying to prove the point to everyone else that any remark like that from a musician so highly regarded and looked up to is shameful and ignorant. and about this comment "But they still care alot about there old music". when the fuck did you talk to geogre in person... oh thats right.. never!!! your opinion is not important. i just state the facts and cite the sources... on the subject of your other statment, ("but then id only wanna hear water wings and 44. C.") your such an idiot.. a dagger through the heart of saint angeles and counter parts and number them are just as good as the rest of the songs, if not the best!!!! they didnt get as big as they did from ONLY two good songs... and for the record, the fact that i was trying to make you look good in my previous statement just makes you look worse for trying to attack my first premises and getting proved wrong!!!

You didnt say that! You said the whole band didnt care because you spoke to him. Which is also bullshit. Granted they dont play anything off the first CD, but then id only wanna hear water wings and 44. C. But they still care alot about there old music
Apr 29th, 12:06am
i didnt say the band as a whole could care less for their first cd, i said george's response shows a huge lack of care for their first cd, i wouldnt doubt it if the other members wanted to play more of the old but are oppressed with george being the head hancho and all!

Oh my god.
stop with the "hate comments"
this is just one song. I think it sounds pretty sweet!
just because you don't like this one song does not mean
that all of the rest of the CD won't be good.
I say:
Give 'em a chance!

I really like the song! it's different.
